VOLUNTEERING

From preparing and serving meals to collecting and distributing clothing, volunteers make a difference. They are essential to our ability to provide vital services 52 weeks a year.

 

Throughout the year, we are often looking for volunteers - individuals, groups and corporations - to support our programming and special events. To inquire about volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Form below.

INDIVIDUAL OPPORTUNITIES
CLOTHING ROOM

Be a part of an incredibly important service, which gives our clients access to essential clothing items.

 

Volunteers in the Clothing Room work in pairs to organize and distribute clothing donations.

 

The program operates

Wednesdays

and Thursdays

from 10am – 3pm.

 

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss available dates for volunteering and address any questions you may have.

BREAKFAST SERVICE

It's the most important meal of the day.

 

Start your morning off right by doing some good and helping our cook serve a warm and delicious breakfast to our clients.

 

The activity runs from

8am - 9:15am

and can accommodate

up to 2 volunteers.

LUNCH PREP & SERVICE

100% of the elder homeless men in Toronto have gone a day or days without eating due to a lack of money.

 

Help fight food insecurity in your community by preparing and providing our clients with a healthy and delicious lunch.

The activity runs from

10:30am - 1:15pm

and can accommodate

up to 6 volunteers.

Volunteers must provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask while onsite. 

GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
LUNCH PREP & SERVICE

This is a unique team building opportunity that helps volunteers develop a better understand of homelessness in Toronto.

 

The activity runs from

10:30am - 1:15pm

and can accommodate

up to 6 volunteers.

 

Groups also have the opportunity to purchase lunch for everyone, for all of our clients, for $150.

CLOTHING DRIVE

Get together with a group and help us collect gently used or new clothing items to distribute through our Clothing Room program.

 

You can run a clothing drive at your work or school and with your sports team and your friends. It’s a great way to challenge yourselves as a group, work together to achieve a goal and encourage a culture of giving amongst your peers.

 

Your contribution will make a difference.
