Random Act of Kindness Helps Those Less Fortunate

After yet another heavy snowfall in 2018, Jim helped strangers shovel. In return, they gave him cash and he gave all of it to Haven Toronto because, as he says, "We do good work."

Jim donated to Haven Toronto

to help those less fortunate.

At the age of 70+, Jim is homeless. He lives on Toronto's streets, exposed to the elements and at risk of robbery and abuse. Jim is a client of Haven Toronto. He has been for years. We see him when he visits for breakfast, to use the showers, and to check his mail.

The money he gave could cover all of his meals for the next month. Instead, he donated it in a totally random act of kindness, because we do good work.

And we do good work because people like Jim deserve it.
