When every door closes, Haven opens

Haven  Toronto — a program of St. Michael’s Homes — is Canada’s only day centre dedicated exclusively to elder homeless men. Since 1933, every day, 365 days a year, we serve men 50 and over who have nowhere else to turn: meals, nursing, housing support, and the dignity of being seen.

Recognition Awards

JOIN US for an evening filled with celebration, appreciation, and community spirit as we honour the generous organizations and individuals that have positively impacted Haven Toronto. The 2nd Annual Recognition Awards will be held at the Royal Canadian Military Institute on September 15, 2026. We will be joined by special guest, the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

Haven Changemakers is our annual giving program — a community of supporters who fund the services that keep Haven running and help men move from crisis to stability. Every level of giving is tied to a real, measurable outcome. You’ll always know what your gift does.

Starter-Kit Program

Many Haven members who move off the street or out of shelter need support to turn a room into a place they can actually live — rent deposits, a bed and bedding, kitchen essentials, towels, basic furniture. The Starter-Kit Program provides a one-time gift of up to $1,000, covering what matters most in those first weeks.
