We serve thousands of elder men impacted by poverty, homelessness, and isolation. They come for a nutritious hot meal and, while they are here, they can meet with our nurses and housing and crisis counsellors – no appointment necessary.

There are thousands of men over the age 50 in shelters in Toronto annually.
Hundreds more sleep outdoors and in precarious accommodations.
The number of seniors who are homeless has doubled in four years.
Haven Toronto is their sanctuary, a place where they can feel at home, where they are always welcome and treated with dignity and respect.
Open every day from 8am to 4pm, Haven Toronto provides the essential services they need for their day-to-day lives.
Haven Toronto provides onsite access to crisis and housing counsellors, on-site nurses, dental hygienists and barbers.
Haven Toronto also provides healthy meals twice daily at 8am and noon, clothing, showers, laundry, recreational amenities and more.

COUNSELLING
CRISIS OUTREACH
Our counselling team provides assistance to elderly men who face significant challenges with system navigation and access to services.
Clients can receive support to find appropriate healthcare, mental health and addiction resources and assistance to find housing opportunities.
Outreach services are available to clients who may be isolated and may lack social supports.
Haven Toronto delivers the Crisis Outreach Service for Seniors (COSS) program.
This is in partnerhsip with Woodgreen Community Services, South Riverdale Community Health Centre, Reconnect Community Health Services and LOFT Community Services.
Crisis Outreach Service for Seniors is an on-call mobile crisis intervention and outreach service.
The service is for seniors who have suspected or diagnosed mental health including dementia. The service offers short-term response 365 days a year from 9am to 5pm.

The COSS team makes every effort to connect in-person with the client in the community the same or next day, depending on urgency.
