How does Shop Haven Toronto work? Haven Toronto has identified items of need for our clients. You can purchase the items you wish to donate. We will distribute them to elder homeless men and send you a tax receipt.

Will I receive a tax receipt? Donated purchases totalling $20 or more will receive a Canadian tax receipt. A tax receipt will be sent by email within 30 days of a purchase.

I have not received a tax receipt for my donation of purchased items? Please email details, including order number and order date, to info@haventoronto.ca and we will look into the status of your tax receipt.

What are 'Matched Items'? When you purchase a Matched Item, a partner of Haven Toronto will provide a matching donation. For instance, if 'Meals for a Week' is a Matched Item, your $21 donation becomes $42.

I do not wish to pay by credit card. Are there other options? If you do not wish to pay by credit card, you can print your 'shopping cart' page and mail this document along with a cheque or money order for the total of the purchase to: Haven Toronto, 170 Jarvis Street, Toronto, ON M5B 2B7. Make cheques and money orders payable to Haven Toronto. Please do not send cash in the mail.

How can I donate money instead of donating items purchased? You can skip the shopping and donate money through Canada Helps. Here is the link: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/haventoronto/. Donations can also be sent by mail to Haven Toronto, 170 Jarvis Street, Toronto, ON M5B 2B7. Please make cheques and money orders payable to Haven Toronto. Do not send cash in the mail.
